Healing the Future
When you do the uncomfortable work of exploring family trauma from the past and find the courage to make different choices today, you’re not only healing what happened, you are also fundamentally changing the entire trajectory of what will become.
I’ve had some really tough conversations with clients this week who are in a season of change. They’re living through unknowns as they grow in their belief that they have what it takes to design a different, more fulfilling life.
If you are going through something similar and worrying about how the choice to be true to yourself might disrupt your family, I want you to remember something. The self-reflection you are doing right now will set up your kids - and by extension your future grandkids and the people they will all come to know and love - for more freedom, happiness and success. People not yet born, people that you will love more than you can imagine, will have a better life because you did the work.
So keep going.
You got this.
You’re not just healing your past or improving your circumstance, you’re changing their future.
